This time we wish you to make anything but a card for our Crafty Cardmakers and More challenge. I decided to make a bookmark. I used Country Companion stamps from Docrafts and coloured the images using Promarkers. I then adhered lace to the reverse of the two longer sides and then backed the bookmark onto white card.

Stuck Santa!

The theme for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is 'anything goes'. I decided to take the opportunity to add to my Christmas stash and could not resist this image (number 16901) of Santa stuck in a chimney. The sentiment is digi image number 16902(527).
I wrapped the 'cheers' ribbon round a square of core'dinations cardstock which I had sprayed using Crafter's Companion iridescent Spray and Sparkle. I then matted and layered this onto silver mirri and then white card.
I coloured the image using Promarkers. I used a silver gel pen for the buckle and added Stickles to the cuffs and hat. I then cut it out leaving a margin so that the image would stand out from the background, shaped it slightly and attached it to the card using glue gel. I cut the sentiment out using a free die and tucked one end of it behind Santa's head.

and

I have used the Bugaboo digi image 'Kidz graduate boy' for my card.

I matted paper printed from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse triple CD ROM onto grey core'dinations cardstock and white card. I also matted the image which I had coloured using Promarkers onto the core'dinations cardstock having first dusted the edges using distress ink and run a black Promarker pen around the edges. I glued a light grey card candi in each of the four corners of the design image and a dark grey card candi in each corner of the main card. I attached a silver peel off to a strip of core'dinations cardstaock and coloured the inside of the letters using a black Promarker pen. This I then fixed to the left hand side of the card.

Christmas in July

Our new challenge today at Send a Smile 4 kids has the theme 'Christmas in July' and again we have three very generous sponsors: Dollar Graphics Depot ($15 gift certificate), A Day for Daisies ($12 gift certificate) and Fred She Said ($10 gift certificate).

For my first card I cut white card out to form ridges of snow  and dusted the edges using distress ink. I then attached this to the lower edge of paper printed using a House Mouse CD ROM from Joanna Sheen to form a pocket and matted this combo onto blue core'dinations cardstock and white card.
I printed Boo Boo Bears Winter Frolic fron Dollar Graphics Depot twice. I cut the bears out from the second copy and decoupaged them onto the first. I then tucked this into the pocket formed ealier and fixed it to the card. I used a white Sakura gel pen to add falling snow to the decoupaged pieces.
Finally I added  a peel off sentiment to core'dinations cardstock and attached it to the card.

For my second card I die cut a red mirri card bauble using a Die'sire die, stuck it onto gold mirri card and cut round it. I threaded narrow satin ribbon through this and fixed it to paper from a Papermania contemorary Christmas pack. This was then matted onto blue core'dinations cardstock and white card.
I coloured the body of the Christmas bulbs digi image from A Day for Daisies using Promarkers. The antlers were coloured using a silver gel pen and the hooves and bulbs were coloured using glitter pens. The image was then attached to the card using foam pads.

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:

love and marriage

The theme for our challenge at Creative Corner this week is 'Wedding bells are ringing'.
I made this card for Annabelle, a cancer nurses who is treating my husband. Her husband's name begins with a D so I decided to combine the initials to form the word 'and' in the phrase 'love and marriage'. Thinking of the rest of the song, 'goes together like a horse and carriage', I used the Lili of the Valley stamp called wedding carriage.
I coloured the image using Promarkers and matted it onto gold mirri card which I had cut out using a Spellbinders scalloped circle die.The words were created in Word, coloured using Promarkers and again matted onto gold mirri card.
The background paper was quilted in gold lines and matted onto white card. I outlined it with gold peel offs. I added embellishments of gold hearts, cream rose buds and cream bows.

I have used a stamp from Joanna Sheen. It is called waterlilies and is from the favourite flowers collection. I coloured the image using Promarkers and added turquoise Stickles to the dragonfly's body and wings. I then matted and layered it onto turquoise mirri card and then white card.

Chilled cat

Our theme for the Eureka Stamps challenge this week is 'at the beach'.
I embossed a piece of blue core'dinations cardstock with clouds using a free folder, distressed it and attached it to the top of a ready formed white card. To the remainder of the card I attached yellow core'dinations cardstock. To outline these pieces I used narrow pink strips of peel off.  Using pink core'dinations cardstock I cut a piece in the shape of a beach hut, drew some lines on it and shaded part of the roof using Promarkers and attached it off-centre to the card.
I matted the sentiment (number 20105) onto blue core'dinations cardstock and attached this to the hut. I coloured the digi image Lemonade cat (number 19901) using Promarkers, cut it out, shaped it slightly and attached it infront of the hut using glue gel.

I then threaded 18 strands of glimmering thread through the holes, tying the ends together to form a tassle.
